GLAMHAIR Studio is looking for full-time self-employed hairdressers and hair stylists to join our team at our salon on Lavender Hill in Battersea, SW11. You keep 60% of your income, and we're flexible on the days and hours you work. Newly qualified stylists are welcome, and so are experienced hairdressers.

How self-employed hairdressing works at GLAMHAIR
How it works
As a self-employed hairdresser at GLAMHAIR, you work for yourself from our salon. You're paid on commission and keep 60% of your income, with no fixed salary. The job is full time, and we'll work with you on which days and hours suit you. Self-employed stylists need their own public liability insurance, and an NVQ Level 2 in hairdressing is the minimum qualification for it. That's why Level 2 is the one qualification we ask for. If you've been looking at freelance hair stylist jobs, this is a self-employed role based in our salon.
Who we're looking for
Hairdressers and stylists who are confident with colour and cutting. Experience isn't a requirement. You'll need an NVQ Level 2 in hairdressing or above, any level of experience from newly qualified to senior stylist, and to be friendly, professional and keen to learn.
Newly qualified hairdressers welcome
If you've just finished your NVQ, we'll support and guide you in a working salon, help you grow your skills and confidence, and help you build your own clientele. The salon offers hair extensions, hair colour and ladies' haircuts, so you'll see a wide range of work.

GLAMHAIR Studio is a hair salon on Lavender Hill in Battersea, led by its founders, Szindy and Paula. The salon offers ladies' and men's haircuts, hair colour, hair extensions, Brazilian blow dries and keratin treatments. We support the stylists who work with us and help them develop their skills.
